LATEST NEWS
If you live outside the UK, you may not have heard that most of England is now officially in drought. And that since that pronouncement was made, it’s rained virtually every day.

We’ve been rather remiss in sending newsletters, but there’s a very good reason – we’ve been waiting for other websites to come live so that we can provide you all the links you need for our future concerts.

WHAT’S COMING UP?
Saturday May 26th…
We’re heading west in 2 weeks’ time to play in Milford on Sea, at the southern edge of the New Forest.
We’re raising funds for Naomi House, which is the Wessex Children’s Hospice. The Hospice serves a huge area, and our concert is being set up by their New Forest and Dorset area rep.

Tickets in advance are £8 – you will find booking details and directions to the venue on our concerts page.
Alternatively, if you’re undecided, you can come on the door, but it’ll cost you a little more.

Monday June 11th
Not long after that concert, we’re playing in Waterlooville as part of the Waterlooville Music Festival, which features about 20 different concert performers. We have been invited back for the fourth time, and we’re headlining in a concert that also features HSCS2 – a Clarinet and Saxophone group.

Saturday June 23rd
It’s that time again – the Portsmouth Festivities are running another week of celebrations, and we’re playing in Portsea, close to Gunwharf Quays, on Saturday June 23rd, with special guests Cambridge Guitar Orchestra – you’ll be unlikely to find quite so many guitars and quite so many musical styles in one event!

Our Musical Director has added four guitar solos to his own YouTube channel, which demonstrate some of the pieces he’s teaching to his students at the moment….

REPERTOIRE
Our Musical Director has been busy again and we now have yet another three new pieces in our repertoire. Come along and hear us!

OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL GUITARISTS
hago is full, though we always welcome enquiries, as our MD is quite willing to shoot one of the weaker players to make room…. Only joking.

If you play but not so fluently, our Musical Director offers a “mini-hago” – a much more informal chance to play ensemble music. Read more on the Guitar Workshop Website – it’s informal and fun, and with absolutely no pressure.

And if you play but want lessons or you want to learn how to play guitar, our MD has his own teaching practice. It’s pretty full too, but do enquire via his teaching website.
