グレン・ミラー
アルトン・グレン・ミラー（Alton Glenn Miller、1904年3月1日 – 1944年12月15日?）はアメリカのジャズミュージシャン（トロンボーン奏者、作曲家、アレンジャー、バンドリーダー）。 カウント・ベイシー、ベニー・グッドマン、デューク・エリントン等と共にスウィングジャズ/ビッグ・バンドの代表奏者に挙げられる。 1944年12月15日にイギリスからフランスへ慰問演奏に飛び立った後、乗っていた専用機（UC-64）がドーバー海峡で行方不明になり、12月18日戦死と発表された。（Wikipedia）
